Ultrasonic cleaners are ecological cleaning systems. 

The cleaning effect is produced by transmitting waves (imperceptible to the human eye) through the cleaning liquid. This creates thousands of small cavitation centres (microbubbles) that then implode under the influence of the same sound waves. The penetration of the microbubbles causes local, rapid pressure changes that dislodge dirt particles (fat, other impurities) from the surface of the object. With this method you can clean effectively all surfaces submerged in the tank without having to scrub or wipe the dirt.

When using a suitable liquid, it is ideal for disinfecting all kinds of objects.
