From a tackle shop's estate: 1-H, 2-H and 3H hooks. Some date back to the old Finnish markka era. Most are Mustad, Made in Norway hooks.

Value about c7,000+, with over 40,000 individual hooks.

Most items are old; e.g. packaging may be dusty, dirty or creased.

Counting errors may occur.

The pile of 1,800 loose hooks is very likely VMC9617 #8 and Mustad "Kotkankynsi" (eagle-claw) #6 hooks, but this cannot be guaranteed. There are also a few other hooks mixed in.

Estimated quantities for hook piles were made by weighing 100 hooks and then the whole pile, so estimates are by weight.

Hooks with a coloured "worm-like" addition are most likely ABU; four plastic boxes marked ABU are the same as the others.

There is no manufacturer information for the other coloured/fluorescent hooks. They are very likely Mustad.

There is no information on how the coloured/fluorescent hooks glow in the dark; they are aged and some dye may have deteriorated. The quantities shown on the packages may be inaccurate or the packages opened.

We tried to verify on a scale that the same sizes and models weigh the same; otherwise contents have not been checked.
