What is a Mexican Bulldog drink?

The Mexican Bulldog is simply made by inverting a Corona beer bottle into a Frozen Margarita glass. Too often Margaritas are made from premixed sweeteners, resulting in a sticky-sweet mess. Our recipe uses only fresh, excellent ingredients, elevating the traditional Margarita. This gives a beach-style drink whose flavour matches that of a cocktail prepared by a "Michelin-star" bartender. Corona is the traditional beer choice for the Mexican Bulldog, but any lager works well.

Ingredients required for the drink:

• 60 ml tequila

• 20 ml lime juice

• 20 ml Cointreau

• 20 ml syrup

• Crushed ice

• Corona beer (or another lager)

• Salt

  
  

  Preparation:

1. Dip the rim of the Margarita glass first in lime juice and then rub with salt to create a nice salt rim.

2. Blend all ingredients except the beer until the mixture is smooth like a "smoothie". Pour into the glass.

3. Secure the bottle holder to the rim of the glass. Open the beer and cover the bottle opening with your thumb, then quickly place the bottle into the holder upright.

4. Drink with a straw, for example with friends. A large straw is recommended. You can adjust the amount of beer by slightly lifting the bottle if needed.
