The device's operating principle is simple: once the desired felling direction has been chosen and the required felling notch has been cut, the wedge is inserted into the saw cut and the trigger is pressed, whereupon the threaded rod turned by the cordless tool pushes the wedge that moves between stainless steel lamellae forward, opening the saw cut and causing the tree to fall in the chosen direction.

The mechanical felling guide produces the force needed to fell trees precisely in the desired direction easily and without straining the faller. The safe distance must be twice the length of the tree being felled. A single 4 Ah battery can fell dozens of trees.
