Toyota Corolla DX 1.3 (E80) – 1986

This retro Corolla is looking for a new home. For sale: a well‑maintained and tidy 1986 Toyota Corolla. Reliable and excellent as an everyday car or alternatively as a hobby/collector vehicle. With a little work, museum registration might be possible. The car was previously owned by an older gentleman who drove only a modest couple of thousand kilometres per year (2020–2024).

Condition and maintenance:

The car is in good condition for its age. The underside is rust‑free and intact and the interior is tidy. All seats are intact; there is one small tear in the driver's seat back and minor wear marks at the side (see photos). A few surface rust spots on the body have been repaired and one side has been repainted due to a slight colour difference. The passenger door has two dents at the top and bottom edges. The headliner fabric sags slightly in a few places.

The original warranty and service booklet is available. Separate service receipts total around €2,000 — for example the windscreen was replaced in 2021 and the timing belt service was done in 2021 (incl. at 103,000 km). New Varta battery and spark plugs were replaced in Nov 2025.

Other information:

In December last year the vehicle was subjected to vandalism/an attempted theft, which required replacement of the ignition lock and the driver's door lock barrel. The vehicle has also been re‑registered and had a periodic inspection (11/2025). Wheel alignment check and adjustment were also carried out at the inspection.

Next year, when the vehicle turns 40, the periodic inspection interval will extend to every two years.
