Mercedes-Benz SLK - For the highest bidder! - Video!, with minor blemishes, 2005, Espoo

Welcome to the auction!

For sale as faulty: a nice SLK convertible Mercedes. Imported used from Latvia at the end of 2018 and in Finland since. Passed inspection in October; inspection note for the blower motor (defrost/defogging ineffective). During the test drive, other electric controls did not operate normally. The blower motor moves to different settings but with a delay. The radio powers on; buttons work with a delay or not at all. The battery is likely in poor condition—could this be the cause?

The roof operates correctly; central locking locks—if not on the first press then on the third. Cruise control works. Drives nicely, though the roof creaks a little in motion (needs grease?). Service records up to 2018; entries after that appear to be memory-based. The car shows the service as overdue by 26,000 days. Engine bay tidy, as is the body exterior. Paintwork is not in the best condition; unknown if it has been repainted during its history.

Test drive observations:

• Test driven 0–120 km/h.

• 12 V battery in poor condition

• Air conditioning bearing makes noise

• Part of the rear window seal missing

• Left front xenon bulb out

• Of the seat heaters, the driver’s side turns on but does not stay on

• Air conditioning did not work properly on the test drive. It turns on, but power comes on with a delay. Inspection advisory: “Defrosting ineffective”.

• Roof works, radio works, cruise control and electric windows work. Plenty of power; gearbox shifts smoothly. Some wear to the body.
