ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged airborne particles to clump together by attaching to them, forming larger and heavier particles that settle quickly out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are very harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by various microbes — microbial toxins — mixed into indoor air as aerosols pose a massive health risk if they reach the lungs and then the bloodstream. Heavier microbial toxins that do not mix into indoor air cause health harm only via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When the unit produces negative ions in addition to ozone, the effect is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as sofas and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air present a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhalation to the deep lung (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergy.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in a positively pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke smells, toxins from bacteria and mould, and stubborn odours from cooking and smoking.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOCs (microbial volatile organic compounds) and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) from the air.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together produce very clean indoor air suitable for workplaces.

Ozonation of indoor air cannot be performed while people are present because ozone is produced in large quantities to destroy microbial spores.
