Lower control arm and front-left wheel bearing recently replaced. Brake fluid changed and a rust repair carried out on the front-left jacking point from underneath — underside condition documented and reasonable for its age. Undercoated when new and, according to the previous owner, regularly re-undercoated early on; oil-change service carried out at a garage every spring. Worn parts replaced as needed. Nearly original condition — radio replaced after the original stopped working.


Original Volvo alloy wheels with summer tyres, original steel wheels with Volvo hubcaps for winter. Tread depths within legal limits, but the tyres are old.

On the test drive we made the following observations:

  • Lovely classic! Drives well and feels mechanically sound.

  • A small oil leak visible in the engine bay and under the car, but not heavy enough to have left a stain underneath. See photos.
